The Day We Will Never Forget

Destruction, this word is thought to mean very many different but quite similar things, on September 11, 2001 lives and hopes of innocent people were yet to be destroyed.  This day gave me extreme insight that not everything in life, not even heaven is perfect.  In the images and article by Davide Dukcevich http://www.forbes.com/2001/09/11/0911twoplanes8.html gave me strong ideas and feelings of anger and also sorrow for those who lost family and friends on this tragic day.

The entire world saw people in uncertainty jump out of these huge buildings that are so majestic and beautiful, unsure of what to do.  All that went through these trapped yet terrified peoples minds were to leap to their death or to burn to death, thousands landed on the hard, bland concrete.  Many died because they couldn't get help when they needed it all due to the lack of airport and airplane security.  Today in great detail we have moved on and took the security issue a step further by bag checks, hand checks, and even computer programming.  In my mind, all I think of is people plumiting to their deaths when they could have been helped and this whole matter could have been prevented if only we would have been prepared.

The photos taken on 9-11-2001 seem as if its only a computer program, fake and only a dream, but when reality checks in we all understand and know that this happened and fear strikes us at the center our hearts.  Over and over in my mind I register if that was me on a plane that day who would I trust and who would I call with my last goodbyes over 3000 people made those last calls to they're loved ones insuring them that it will pass and will be ok.  If we all took the time to think it over I bet the congress and the president could have prevented the terrorist attacks just like they have been ever since protecting us and being watchful.  I bet you have heard the expression a picture is worth a thousand words well these are worth millions and much much more, which is why that day in United States history shall never ever be forgotten.

So i believe that when we think of September 11, 2001 honor and sorrow should be in our hearts, but our heads shall be kept held high.  We should tear away all the fear and regret we have that we couldn't do something to help because all we could do is pray and god is the only medicine I know that can cure my pain and hurt.  After all isn't freedom the only reason we are here today and not being held at gunpoint or killed due to what we believe in, we are free and if we all stick to it will hopefully always be free.  There is only one place that I know of that keeps the terror of all war, and hurt and that is the heart it always is beating 24/7 no matter how hard you push is it's like a tick on your sock it won't let go til you peel it off.
