Freedom of religion fact or myth

Should there be a mosque built at ground zero? Does this violate the first amendment?  Well no matter which way you may believe, but in my opinion building a mosque will destroy all the memories and beliefs in the hearts of the families of those who died on 9/11.  Even though everyone has their own views on different issues I believe that building a mosque at ground zero is a violation of human rights.

In the picture I found on google, it shows a man holding up a sign showing her true thoughts on the building of the mosque.  Our president may agree that building the mosque will give the people of the Muslim religion a place to worship, but what many don't realize is that this religion believes in the death to all Christians.  Christians make up most of the United States and now we are going to place a mosque, where people who believe in the death of Christians in the biggest city in our country.  This to me is against all my wildest dreams that real religious people of our country will risk our lives like this.  In the bible it states that you shall not kill, well as you may know Muslims who worship in a mosque believe to the death of Christians, but we will let them come to our country.

Our first amendment to the Constitution states that we have the freedom of religion and freedom of speech, so we have the voice and right to believe that the building of this mosque is either right or wrong.  The people who believe in the building of the mosque say that refusing to build is breaking the first amendment.  The way i see it is that the first amendment is for the Americans to follow not some foreign immigrants who decide they need us to build them a mosque on ground zero.  Ground zero is our sacred land where many of our fellow American citizens died saving our lives, and fighting for our country.  Our government says that we need to forgive and forget this tragic time in history, but why should we forget the day where we were attacked by Muslim terrorists who killed more than 3000 people.

Everyday we have men and women in foreign countries that aren't safe for our citizens to be in.  They are there fighting for our lives so that we can be free and live our lives like nothing ever happened.  Christians deserve to have places to worship just as other religions do but we cant place a mosque where people who bring terror to our people worship.  Men and women around the world have strong beliefs that we have the right to any religion that we choose, but we don't ask the government to build a baptist church at ground zero.

So no matter the beliefs of anyone in our land of the first amendment being violated we will stand up for what we believe in and keep our dreams alive.   I believe that building the mosque will change the way that everyone feels about what happened on September 11, 2001.  Without the mosque we will have a safer land and a better country for our American citizens to live in and raise their families.  So is the freedom of religion a face or a myth so far no one knows.

First visit to the fair

The fair a place full of excitement and energy, basically a kids playground full of fun and sugar.  My first experience there began to blow me away.  The overwhleming rides, animals, food and much more makes me feel like it was all there just for me and me only.  The delightful smell of popcorn and sugar topped funnel cakes fill hte ari around me making my mouth water.  As I walk toward the rides, screams from every angle enter my mind and frighten me, but somehow I move on.  Carnival workers shout at every person who passes by attempting to con me into giving them a few bucks and get nothing in return.  My very first ride, the ferris wheel, every step I take closer to the enormous ride makes me feel even more anxious but also excitied.  Once I get on we make our way to the top where the beautiful night sky  distracts me from the amazing view, but as I watch the stars sparkle all I can do is hope.  While we get off I ride more rides then eat a bite or two of the mouth watering funnel cake which tastes like heaven on earth.  All of a sudden my moms takes my hand and drags me toward the petting zoo.  The feeling of the soft bushy hair of the sheep and goats make me a bit shaky, but all I can think of is how much I wish this night will never end.  Finally the fair begins to come to an end and all that enters my mind as I close my eyes is how much fun my first fair experience turned out.

City of Sin or Regret

City of Sin or Regret

Everyone who is married, single, engaged, whatever their civil status is, they all want the same thing a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada also known as sin city.  We all may inspire to travel here once in our life but for what to go to bars and strip clubs.  I believe that Vegas may be fun and all but bars and clubs and I'm sure anything else that involves naked girls and guys doesn't interest me.  In the picture, Vegas is shown where to me its the most beautiful at night.

Everyday we take for granted what we have, and we are lucky to have the money and shelter and even food.  Some of those in Vegas fight everyday in a casino for the money to even do that or bribe some rich guy on the street they may go days at a time without food.  Thinking of this gives me an entire new outlook on the whole idea of Las Vegas yeah its a fun place to get drunk and have your wedding, but there are those who aren’t that lucky and how does that make you feel after you bought that brand new purse at Coach.  Times are hard enough having to deal with taxes and this new health care reform thing we have going but people still tend to waste it all in some stupid yet fun casino when they’re wasted and can’t even remember their moms full name.

There are times when I pray for my dad to win a million dollars that way he can go to Vegas again and win loads of money because he is a totally awesome poker player, but he puts it off.  He thinks of what matters most, spending time with his family, money is very important and this city of sin has all you could possibly ask for personally it doesn’t even appeal to me.  Casinos are the number one hot spot in Vegas because not only do they contain alcohol and strippers but this little green piece of paper called MONEY.  We all are guilty for striving to gain one million dollars anyway we can because its money that we can use to pay bills and taxes and stop  working for a living.  Looking at this picture that one little five letter word just pops to mind because all those sparkling light remind me of Christmas and what it brings joy and hope.

Nighttime in this regret filled city is a chance in a lifetime all we do is sit at home a picture a perfect vacation in our minds even though we know it’s never gonna be possible.  Sex, money, casinos, beer and all sorts of alcohol are available to you in the top city of sin in the world now how is that a good place for christian people.  I strongly feel that Las Vegas was built to be a perfect vacation spot then some alcohol loving hobo shows up and says lets get drunk and then bam the city has a reputation and everyone decides to do that exact same thing.  So in my opinion, which may or not matter, Vegas is a city full of surprises and sins and regret especially when your wife or husband finds out what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
